在战国时期以阿国为首。根据《米泽人国记》的记载，庆次于(1567年-1582年)期间到了京都与关白一条兼冬及右大臣西园寺公朝的屋敷活动，学习文学、音乐，又听学大纳言三条公光讲解源氏物语及伊势物语、向名茶道家千利休学者茶道，更学懂乱舞、猿乐、笛吹、太鼓的舞技，且向连歌第一大师绍巴学习连歌、俳句和歌等艺文。庆次于当时又同时向伊势松阪城主古田重然学习骑马弓箭之术，自命文武相全、十八般武艺皆通。
