《安宁之刻～道》将以《安宁之乡》作起点，菊村想起被埋没的故事，以已经去世的「公主」九条摄子（八千草薫）为蓝本，写出从未发表的剧本。该作由昭和初期开始，描写一对夫妇的生涯，及他们经历的时代。当中妻子的角色前半由清野菜名演出，后半则为八千草薫，预计会和《安宁之乡》的后续故事接轨。
