本来是一场你做初一我做十五的战乱仇杀，谁知失手被俘的俄军虾兵蟹将，被高加索村长当成人质，希望通过交换战俘赎回爱子。怨恨未曾消解，情意却默默滋生；先是血气方刚的虾兵与十月芥菜的村长女儿有来有往，后是蟹将与监守他的哑巴成为无声的莫逆。可惜好景不常，以为是解除武装的桃花源，瞬间转为万劫不复的地狱。影片就在车臣战区不远拍摄，以当地村民为演员更加强了真实感。波德洛夫技艺之精，视野之纯，使人心服口服。获九六康城影展国际影评人奖。
