华谊兄弟首度公布《太极》三部曲正式片名：《太极之从零开始》、《太极之英雄崛起》、《太极之巅峰在望》。当时尚处于拍摄期的首部曲，一举销售出31国海外版权。此后华谊兄弟就一直对所有电影内容秘而不宣，由监制陈国富、导演冯德伦、动作导演洪金宝、美术总监叶锦添等组成的铁血部队连续工作7个月，完成了三部曲前两部《太极之从零开始》、《太极之英雄崛起》的拍摄。
