十岁男孩的父亲为何突然死去？环绕著他的成年人各持真相的零星碎片。然而这不过是开始。一个颠簸著的妙龄少女；一个家族的非法勾当；女哲学教授突然自杀；嫉恶如仇的警探；一段淡化了的女同志恋情；无法接受父亲去世的孩子……。导演把来自毫不相关的世界的人物放在一起，支取不同电影类型的元素，发展出一个精彩绝伦的讲故事游戏。重重叠叠、循环不息，几条生命轨道交错，有说不尽的隐衷、揭不完的秘密。本片为导演继《野芦苇》后之力作，德诺芙及奥特尤尔有精湛的演出。
