北宋年间，范仲淹少怀大志发奋攻读，科试中举入仕为官。他无论外遣治理地方，或挂帅西征御敌，或在朝为相辅政，始终以“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”为理念，忧国忧民，广济天下。他推行新政，冒犯权贵，在所不辞；反贪肃吏，嫉恶如仇，无所畏惧；为民请命，“宁鸣而死，不默而生”；谪贬下放，与民同耕，不忘国忧。范仲淹一生四起四落，历尽坎坷，初心不泯，鞠躬尽瘁，写下《岳阳楼记》千古绝唱，至今广为世人传颂。
