特丽莎（杰拉丁·卓别林饰演）和丈夫佩德罗（帕尔·奥斯卡森）居住在一栋线条僵直、风格冷峻的现代住宅内。年轻貌美的特丽莎无法忘却童年遗事，破碎的家庭以及自己被抛弃的命运都令她容易陷入精神癫狂的状态，驱使她搬演年幼时发生的一幕幕剧情。佩德罗逐渐接受了这一事实，在和特丽莎一起“玩闹”的同时，自己也开始受到噩梦的侵扰……最终，脆弱过激的特丽莎在“玩闹”中结束了佩德罗的生命。
