BBC四台在2017年推出纪录片《成为一名艺术歌曲演唱家：夸斯托夫和德国艺术歌曲》，夸斯托夫为讲述主角，以他创办的2017届海德堡艺术歌曲比赛为纪录片主线，以及如今他任教的柏林汉斯·艾斯勒音乐学院的授课情形。他说因自己的兄弟癌症去世，伤心过度，导致失声近一年，故此最终决定在2012年退出舞台，如今以教师和评委为业，不过他经常登台演唱爵士，纪录片中亦有他在意大利帕勒莫举行的爵士独唱音乐会的片段。
