1976年年末，拍摄时多灾多难的《金光大道》（中集）终于杀青。当时影片下集的剧本已经完成，却由于其时“文革”已经结束，影片中的某些带有时代色彩的内容显然不合时宜，所以下集未能拍成。但历史的镜头历历在目，《金光大道》剧组亲历了惊心动魄的唐山大地震，并留下了那个特殊时代的故事
