本片为张彻导演，并与倪匡合编，由姜大卫及傅声主演，傅声更藉此获1974年亚洲影展最有希望青年男演员奖。片中，姜饰演怀才不遇的油漆小工，因不满现实，养成狂放自傲的性格；傅饰厌倦拘束的富家子，当他遇上姜后，即被姜洒脱的生活方式吸引，二人终成莫逆之交；姜之女友李丽丽，欠了高利贷，被威逼当娼，傅暗向父索巨款……
