《阿部定 最後の七日間》的所谓“实录”，即真实记录。一九三六年五月十八日，在东京荒川区一家色情酒馆，一名叫石田吉藏的中年餐饮商，遭一起投宿于馆内的情妇阿部定绞死。并把吉藏尸体之生殖器官切割下贴身密藏，须臾不离。阿部定、吉藏二人下榻在一个只有四叠半榻榻米大小的阴翳、肮脏旅馆房间中门窗紧闭、与世隔绝，没日没夜地沉湎于性爱世界，糜烂的沉沦生活对比外界的积极向上，藉此传达出一种个体抵制国家军国主义风潮的消极情绪。
