这是一部历时十年拍摄的纪实电影，真实纪录了2008年“5.12”汶川大地震之后，夕格、直台两个羌寨的700多位村民，离开世代居住的山寨迁往他乡，九年后回乡祭祖请神的悲壮历程。迁徙与回归路上，人与祖先、人与神灵的悲欢离合，令人感慨动容。影片涵盖了我们对人生的诸多思考：今天，我们同样“迁徙”于城与城、城与乡之间，我们何以为家？如何心安？内心渴望获得的诸多期许，也许，都能在这部影片里得到回应与启示。
