1984-04-19 導演劉家昌19日表示，正在中影配音的另一部「聖戰千秋」是海外版本。劉家昌表示，「聖」片若要在星、馬等地上映，必須剪掉國內版本中的國旗特寫與呼喊「中華民國萬歲」口號鏡頭，絕不會另行剪輯一個版本在國內二度上映。
