朱继训乃明朝皇室后裔，他聚众组党，欲兴汉灭满。朱委托绿林首领周致祥为两广总领袖。周追求一妓女，竟以委托书示之以炫耀，却被妓女高密。朱逃跑不及，遭捕。官府收出朱与昆仑派的来往信件和名册。崆峒派万清和等劫走朱继训，却留字嫁祸于昆仑。万清和趁机自荐于朝廷，帮助朝廷大肆擒拿昆仑派门徒。昆仑诸人也借机起事。意图说动总督卜文正共同起事。然卜以忠臣自居，不允。万清和等人借来红云祖师的天罗地网，捉住了桂武夫妇。
