Robert Kirkman的制片公司Skybound Entertainment准备把Zack Kaplan的漫画《日食 Eclipse》，这部漫画讲述世界因太阳耀斑而令人类迁至地底下生活，不过平常白天时，像主角David Baxter这种工人会穿上能抵挡太阳辐射的特殊保护装在地面监视情况。但某天David单独巡视空城时，却意外发现了骸骨，而且这代表着有人被遗弃在地面而烧死……因此他只好靠自己调查这宗命案。
