《24小时 24》的重启衍生剧《24小时：遗产 24: Legacy》不算成功，但毕竟是大IP，FOX自然不会轻易放弃该剧。今天新闻指他们最新计划是考虑制作《24小时》的前传衍生剧。
Howard Gordon﹑Joel Surnow及Bob Cochran联手制作的新项目继续采用实时剧情模式，将会讲述经典角色Jack Bauer的起源故事。而因为Kiefer Sutherland说过自己不想再演上述角色，所以如果成事的话应该会把时间线移前不少。
