　　Geneviève Garland, famous actress, is acting in « Andromaque » by Racine, with her husband André. She feels a deep malaise to play this part and cede it to her friend Isabelle, which is her husband's mistress as well. Geneviève goes away with her sick son in her childhood village. She seems to escape a reality difficult to accept.
